Keeping It Simple, Stupid

I've been saying this for a long time now; the genius of the Rove/Bush cabal was to keep it simple.  Good versus Evil for example. George W. Bush famously said, "I don't do nuance".

Here's a really good piece which fleshes out what the GOPhers do to influence simple people.

The Dems need to understand this and try to avoid making everything a moral dilemma, getting themselves tied
up by their scruples, and confusing the simple people.
