So much for the sovereignty of Iraq, and Bush's pledge that we will leave when they want us to leave.

To paraphrase Derrick V. Jackson of the Boston Globe of a few weeks back, it took 4000 plus American soldiers' deaths, 30,000 more wounded and untold Iraqi deaths and casualties to make Iraq safe for Exxon.
