Here's an interesting piece on different views of Sarah Palin. In one case, that of David Brooks, a conservative columnist for the NYTimes, two different views on Palin come from that very same David Brooks, separated only by a few days.
To quote McCain, "Who is the real David Brooks?". On the theory that the latter view might reflect a learning curve, the Voice wants to believe he's more of the latter than the former.
Tending to offset that though is the reality that Brooks' views in print often run counter to his views in person. He can be one guy on The News Hour, and another in the New York Times.
