Here's a short piece on God which I hope my Tuesday lunch group will use as a starting point for more discussion about religion.
The author of this piece seems to be saying that the symbol humans created called God can be thought of as a personal creator or as Nature itself as creator, and goes a bit further to suggest that if it's Nature, all of creation occurred on its own.
Some, like Dawkins, Dennett, Harris, say science will eventually account for all that is now a mystery. Some, like monotheistic apologists, say that faith is the only path to understanding.
Some say that there is no answer, and there never will be the answer. Perhaps it's like the scientists' wish for a theory of everything. It is at least as elusive as that.
