They let Lieberman off the hook almost totally. And that's a cryin' shame.
In addition to his going off the reservation early in the campaign to support McCain, it's been reported that he did next to nothing to hold the GOPhers accountable on issues over which the committee he's being allowed to continue chairing is responsible.
He has to feel pretty smug right now. Wonder if he's tempted to push the betrayal envelope even further by going after Dems rather than GOPhers for stuff his committee oversees. Maybe even Evan Bayh would get his sorry back up if that happened.
Does healing and the wish to have a bullet proof Senate have to include letting a scoundrel off Scott free?
