More If Only, II --The New Realism

H.D.S. Greenway writes today in the Boston Globe on the topic of talking, not threatening, Iran. He joins Roger Cohen, Fareed Zakaria, Richard Cohen(at least today) in backing what's becoming known as the "new realism" in foreign policy.

See several other recent posts to this blog on the subject. These are folks who've begun to talk openly about a need to change our approach to foreign policy, especially in the Middle East, and especially with regard to Israel.

Finally, after more than sixty years of defending virtually everything Israel has done in their approach to foreign policy, acting like Israel's interests and America's are identical and intertwined, some are standing up to AIPAC, other Israel lobbies and neocons like John Bolton, Richard Perle, etc.. who have compromised American politicians with strings attached campaign contributions and threatening rhetoric.
