Stuck in the Rut of Experience

Here is a piece by Ruth Marcus, generally considered to be a Conservative leaning columnist, expressing the spreading exasperation associated with McCain/Palin.

She highlights McCain's falling back on his experience as justification for being President, and his hammering Obama for his lack of experience. Then he choses Palin as his running mate. Hello?

The Voice has frequently had to deal with people who have claimed that their best credential is, say, forty years experience. An effective rebuttal often is, 'Yes, but for you, it's ten years experience repeated three times'.
