What's the Difference?

What's the difference between the Katrina/Bush tragedy and the recent Myanmar Cyclone/Myanmar government tragedy?

Not much if any, as defined by the level of quick and effective response. Both regimes demonstrate that they really don't care.

The difference, I suppose, is that the military regime in Burma took control and rule with an iron hand to keep total control of the people...while in America the Bush administration was elected (once) by a majority of the populace who had a free voice to choose.

What's happening in Burma is, unquestionably, horrible. What happened with Katrina was even more of a disaster because we are supposed to be people who Care about each other and the Bush administration turned it's back on the people of Louisiana and continue to screw them to this day.
