Obama, Catholics and Abortion

Here's a piece about a Catholic priest on his parishioners' need of penance for cooperating materially with intrinsic evil.

I have to say I find that this priest is disingenuous in his claim to support separation of church and state, while at the same time accusing his parishioners of sinning by voting for Obama.

Being against abortion is a legitimate stance, and it doesn't need a man in a long white robe and a silly hat telling folks that he knows God says so.

I wonder how long such parochial thinking will continue to instill fear. A very long time I expect, as long as there are people who agree to believe that 'God's gonna get 'em'.
