A Muslim; More Than A Person Of Faith?

Sometimes one has to admit that some cold, hard facts cannot be ignored, but must be acknowledged and faced.

Here is a piece which cites some statistics which I submit need to be acknowledged as cold, hard facts and faced. To wit, nearly 20% of those polled in West Virginia believe that Obama is a Muslim.

As Colin Powell suggested last Sunday on Meet The Press, one might ask, "So what?"

The "So what?" is that the word "Muslim" for some, including apparently 1 in 5 of those polled in West Virginia, has become the equivalent and currently more seemingly respectable substitute for the word "Nigger".

That is to say that when someone identifies someone else as a Muslim, he is saying more than that he is a terrorist. Both terms serve to provide the still prejudiced members of our still tribalistic society with labels they can use to deprecate and dismiss another as less than human.

When such poeple in our own country call someone a Muslim, they are still actually calling that someone a Nigger. One has only to ask how many white folks are called Muslims in places like West By God Virginia to verify that observation.
